ENUMERATORS AND TRAINING UNIT
The Enumerator Unit is a team where responsible in interviewing participant of The Malaysian Cohort Project. The interview session is divided to 7 main sections:
- Social Demographic Data
- Medical Background
- Physical Activity
- Environment And Occupation
- Dietary habits And Patterns
- Diet Diary (Recall 24 Food Records and 2-Days Food Records)
- Health Diary For The Next 6 Months
The interviewing process is using the book computer technology application or well known as E-Questionnaire System. Question by question will be appeared on the computer’s screen and answer is done only with stylus pen (by typing on the virtual keyboard or by writing on the screen) which applied on the touch screen. This method which applied the latest technology can save working time where data reentry is not required (if using the manual form), besides, minimizes error in that process. The entered data will be in a standard format and can directly entered to the database cumulatively or follow turn after undergone the Standard Data Quality Control. Every enumerator must fully responsible to data they have been collected. There are 5 main responsibilities that strictly need to be obeyed in this unit which are Follow The Interview Protocol, Ensure The Participant Data Confdentiality, Maintain The Friendly And Polite Attitudes, Give Priority To The Data Quality and Be Wise In Handling Interview Problem. One interview session will take one hour averagely.
